Ceramics is the medium I find the most sustaining. I keep coming back to pottery. The plastic nature of clay is so very seductive and fun. I like building forms and adding texture and color.
Cyanotype is an old photo process. Paper is sensitized with a photo emulsion and then exposed in sunlight. All of these images were created through computer modeling combined with photographs and compiled in Photoshop. The images themselves are part of the "Closure Series". The series attempts to solve the problem of closure. This series is mostly complete; however I may continue to experiment with cyanotype on other subject matter.
The woodcuts are a new ongoing series of prints that include portraits, trees, and organic forms. I have been rediscovering a joy in carving the wood, something I did many years ago. The series manifest itself unexpectedly.
